Realme has been teasing the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition China launch for a while now. The brand has finally revealed the launch date for the upcoming GT series smartphone, which is July 12. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition will be the flagship smartphone and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

The handset made an appearance on the Geekbench database a couple of weeks ago which confirmed the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and 12GB of RAM. It has also been spotted on TENAA certification. The upcoming GT 2 series device will offer a 10-bit AMOLED display which will be 6.7-inch in size (diagonally). The display panel on the upcoming device will have Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device might come with a centered punch hole notch, similar to what we have seen on the Realme GT Neo 3.

Powering the device will be an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. The device will come pre-loaded with Android 12, as per the Geekbench listing.

The upcoming GT 2 series device will rely on a triple rear camera setup for photography. The primary sensor on the device is expected to be a 50MP sensor and is expected to be accompanied by another 50MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. Realme might make use of a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

The upcoming Realme smartphone might come equipped with a 4,960mAh battery unit. The rumour mill suggests that it will support 100W fast charging. It will weigh 199grams and measure 161.3 × 74.3 × 8.2mm., going by the TENAA listing.
