Realme GT 2 Pro Tipped to Feature Paper-Like Design, 150 Degree Ultra Wide Camera: What We Know So Far

Realme is gearing up for the launch of the Realme GT 2 series smartphones. The upcoming Realme GT 2 series is supposed to consist of two devices namely the Reame GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro. The company is set to launch the Realme GT 2 series in China on December 20th. Ahead of the official launch, Realme now has started teasing several aspects of the upcoming Realme GT 2 Pro smartphone. As per the known details, the Realme GT 2 Pro will have rear panel made up of a paper-like material. Realme’s CMO Chase recently took to Weibo to announce that the upcoming Realme GT 2 series will feature a paper-like design. In another post, Realme’s official Weibo handle has revealed that the Realme GT 2 Pro will flaunt a 150-degree ultra-wide lens. Though the resolution of the camera are not unknown as of now, several rumours suggest that the device will feature a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 8MP camera. The front of the smartphone is supposed to include a 32MP camera. As far as the rest of the details of the handset go, the device is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 2 Pro is confirmed to feature the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The device might pack up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The previous leak also suggests that the device might pack up to 1TB of RAM and it could offer 3GB Virtual RAM support. On the software side of things, we can expect the Realme GT 2 Pro to boot Android 12 out of the box with Realme UI 3.0 on top. The device is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery which could support 66W fast charging. As for the pricing, the handset is tipped to cost USD 799 (roughly Rs 60,000).
