Realme Vice President Xu Qi Chase confirmed (via) that the company will launch the GT 3 5G in China later this year. Chase did not reveal the exact launch date or month but confirmed that the GT 3 will launch at the end of this year. Let’s take a look at more details about the Realme GT 3 series launch timeline, specifications and other details known so far.

Realme GT 3 Series China Launch Timeline Tipped

The Realme GT 3 series in China will be different from the one launching globally on February 28. The Chinese variant will launch later this year. The company has already confirmed that the GT 3 global variant will feature support for 240W fast charging. The global variant is expected to be a rebadged GT Neo 5 5G from China. The company will announce more details about the same on February 28 at the MWC 2023 event.

Chase revealed that the GT 3 series in China will launch at the end of this year. He did not confirm any specifications at the moment. However, based on the launch timeline, it is possible that the Chinese version of the GT 3 series could get the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which is tipped to launch in October 2023. There is also a possibility of the GT 3 series China variant getting the rumoured Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC.

At the moment, Qualcomm has not confirmed any details about the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC’s existence, let alone the launch timeline. The GT Neo 5 5G, aka the GT 3 Global, features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, is said to get a new 1+5+2 cluster setup, which means that it will have 1 Prime Core and five performance cores. Currently, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC has a 1+4+3 setup. If true, it would be interesting to see how Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC deals with heating and thermal issues, if any.

We are still months away from the launch of the GT 3 series in China. Meanwhile, stay tuned for the global launch of the GT 3, which will be announced on February 28. The India launch timeline and pricing details should be available soon after the global launch.
