Realme GT 3 with 240W Fast Charging Tipped to Launch at MWC on February 28

A few days ago, Realme launched the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone in China. The smartphone was the first in the world to feature support for 240W super-fast charging tech. Ahead of the launch of GT Neo 5, Realme had started teasing the launch of Realme GT 3 with 240W fast charging tech.

A reliable tipster OnLeaks, shared the image of the packaging of the upcoming GT 3 smartphone. There are reports that Realme will launch the Realme GT Neo 5 globally under the Realme GT 3 branding. Madhav Sheth, VP of Realme, has tipped that the brand will launch a new Realme smartphone with 240W fast charging at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 on February 28.

Realme VP said that after undergoing all safety checks, Realme is launching 240W world’s fastest charging technology, on February 28 at MWC 2023. The tweet tips us about the global launch of the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone.

However, we already know that Realme will launch the global variant as Realme GT 3. Madhav hasn’t revealed any specific dates for the Indian launch of the smartphone. The smartphone will launch in India, as the Twitter handle of Realme India had teased the smartphone previously.

Realme GT 3 Specifications

If the report of rebranding Realme GT Neo 5 is accurate, it will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen. It has an adaptive refresh rate of 144Hz, 1.5K resolution, a peak brightness of 1400 nits, and 2160Hz UHF PWM dimming. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power the device and pairs up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. There are fewer chances for the variant with 1TB to be launched globally.

The smartphone would run on Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13 out of the box. The Realme GT 3 would feature a triple-rear camera setup comprising a primary 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS. An 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor would accompany the primary sensor.

The 16MP selfie camera would be housed inside the punch-hole in the display. A 4600mAh battery with 240W fast charging would back the smartphone. Realme may or may not launch the 150W variant of the smartphone globally.

The 150W variant comes with a large 5000 mAh battery. The device would feature an X-axis linear motor, Dolby Atmos dual speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and an infrared remote sensor. Realme would launch the smartphone in Purple, White, and Black color options.
