The company has announced that it will launch Realme Buds Air 5 along with the smartphone in China. The Chinese OEM is set to launch Realme Buds Air 5 and Buds Air 5 Pro along with the Realme 11 series smartphones in India. Realme has shared a new teaser that confirms the chipset details, RAM and storage type, and more about the upcoming smartphone.
Realme confirms that the upcoming GT 5 smartphone will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. The octa-core chipset has one Kryo (Cortex X3) Prime core at 3.19GHz, two Kryo (Cortex A715) performance cores at 2.8GHz, two Kryo (Cortex A710) performance cores at 2.8GHz, three Kryo Efficiency cores (Cortex A510) at 2.0GHz and Adreno 740 GPU.
Realme teases the smartphone as a leapfrog, which has performance improvements in all segments. The company will also include a geek performance panel with the smartphone which will help users to adjust the clock speed of the chipset without any third-party app requirement. Realme adds that the device offers 35% and 25% improvements in terms of CPU and GPU in comparison to its predecessor. The chipset also uses 40% and 45% less power in terms of CPU and GPU usage.
The company previously confirmed that the chipset will be paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The latest teaser shared by Realme reveals that the company will use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage types. The company adds that the upcoming GT 5 will have an independent X7 display chipset. The independent display chipset will help the device to offer better frame rates.
Apart from this, Realme confirmed that the device will be equipped with 240W fast charging tech. Realme hasn’t shared any other specifications of the upcoming Realme GT 5 smartphone. The company is expected to reveal the other specifications of the forthcoming device through teasers in the coming days ahead of the August 28 launch. The company has already started accepting pre-bookings for the smartphone in China.
