Realme is working on a couple of new smartphones in China. The last major launch from Realme was the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone in China. The company later launched the device in the global markets under the branding Realme GT 3 at the MWC 2023. However, Realme has yet to begin selling the smartphone in the global markets. Realme had launched another smartphone in the GT Neo 5 series, dubbed GT Neo 5 SE. The smartphone hasn’t made its way to the global markets. Recently, MySmartPrice exclusively revealed the renders of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 6 smartphone. Realme has officially revealed the launch timeline of its upcoming Realme GT 5 series and Realme GT Neo 6 series smartphones.

Realme GT 5 and GT Neo 6 Series Launch Timeline: Expected Specifications

The latest post from the Weibo account of Realme reveals that it will launch the Realme GT 5 series smartphones in H2 of 2023 in China. The teaser also added that the company would launch the Realme GT Neo 6 series smartphones and the GT 5 series smartphones. Realme will also launch the smartphones in the global markets. The company hasn’t revealed any other information about the upcoming smartphones.

Digital Chat Station had tipped that Realme will equip the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The tipster adds that the GT 5 Pro will be a full-fledged flagship from Realme. Realme will launch a vanilla GT 5 model with the current flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Other specifications of the upcoming GT 5 series smartphones are currently unknown.

Realme GT Neo 6 and Neo 6 Pro were recently spotted in 3C and TENAA certifications with the model numbers RMX3820 and RMX3823. The 3C listing reveals that the smartphones will support 150W and 240W fast charging tech. The TENAA listing reveals that both smartphones will feature a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels. Under the hood, both devices will be equipped with an octa-core chipset with a clock speed of 3.2GHz.

The chipset will likely be the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Realme would equip the upcoming smartphones with 8GB/ 12GB/ 16GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB and 1TB storage. The upcoming smartphones would run on Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. Realme will equip the smartphones with a triple rear camera setup.

The vanilla GT Neo 6 and GT Neo 6 Pro will feature a 50MP primary camera. The primary camera will accompany 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 2MP macro lenses. The punch-hole cut-out in the display will house a 16MP selfie camera. The vanilla GT Neo 6 will have a dimension of 163.1×75.38×8.86mm and weighs around 205 grams. The device will be backed by a dual-cell 2540 mAh, i.e. 5000 mAh battery. The Pro will be backed by a dual-cell 2225 mAh, i.e. 4500 mAh battery.
