Realme is gearing up for the Realme 8 series launch in India. The company has started teasing some of the key specifications and features of the Realme 8 and 8 Pro. Ahead of the launch of its upcoming mid-range smartphone series, Realme has hinted at the launch of another smartphone. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has teased the launch of the Realme GT 5G in India. The smartphone was launched earlier this month in China. To the uninitiated, the GT 5G’s design is inspired by a sports car’s colour scheme with a racing strip on top of the paint job. Realme is gearing up for the Realme 8 series launch in India. Ahead of the launch, the company is likely to announce the Realme GT 5G launch date in India. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has dropped a new teaser, hinting at the announcement of the GT 5G launch date.
The teaser specifically does not reveal the name of the device but hints at the launch of the GT 5G. Realme will make an announcement tomorrow and it is like to be the Realme GT 5G India launch date.
The smartphone comes with a dual-tone Vegan Leather design, triple camera setup, Super AMOLED display, punch-hole cutout, and a lot more among others.
Realme GT 5G specifications
The Realme GT 5G sports a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The screen has a punch-hole cutout on the top-left corner for the front camera.
On the back is a triple-camera setup. The device comes with a 64MP primary camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone comes with a 16MP front camera sensor.
The highlight spec of the Realme GT is its performance unit. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. It is currently the most affordable smartphone with the flagship chipset in China starting at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 34,000).
The performance unit includes up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging support.
It boots on Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box.
Connectivity options include dual-mode 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. Realme GT 5G also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Other features include a stereo speaker setup, Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res audio.
