Realme recently launched the GT series in India. The company is now gearing up to unveil another smartphone under its premium phone lineup. The Realme GT Neo 2 launch has been confirmed. Realme’s official Weibo account confirmed the launch without revealing the launch date of the device. We can expect the phone to launch by September-end in China. Its predecessor model, the GT Neo, was launched in India as Realme X7 Max. Realme is likely to launch the Neo 2 in India later this year. Meanwhile, some key details of the upcoming phone have leaked already. Let’s take a look at the Realme GT Neo 2 specifications, features and other details.
Realme GT Neo 2 launch
Realme has confirmed the GT Neo 2 launch in China. While the launch date remains unknown, we can expect it to launch in September. Realme is likely to launch the device in India later this year under the GT series itself. The original GT Neo moniker did not debut in India and the company launched the phone as the Realme X7 Max instead. Realme has confirmed that it will no longer launch X-series phones in India. We can therefore expect the device to launch within the GT series itself.
Meanwhile, we already know some key details of the upcoming Realme phone. According to the leaked details, Realme’s upcoming phone will sport a 6.62-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. It will also have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a hole-punch cutout for the 16MP front camera.

Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The phone could launch with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. Realme’s new phone will run Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. Like many Realme phones, the upcoming GT Neo 2 is said to pack a 5000 mah battery. The leaked details do not reveal any fast charging details. That being said, we can expect the Neo 2 to feature 50W/ 65W fast charging support at least as the GT Neo came with 50W fast charging.
The device will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. It will have a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. The design renders further suggest that the phone will not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
