Realme GT Neo 5 Pro Gets Certification in China; Launch Likely in Q3

Realme seems to be prepping up for the launch of new smartphones in the Realme GT Neo 5 series. The Chinese smartphone launched the Realme GT Neo 5 back in February, while the GT Neo 5 SE was unveiled in April. Now, per the tipster Digital Chat Station, the next smartphone by Realme in China will be the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro. Two Realme devices have received approval from China’s MIIT certification. It is speculated that one of the devices from the two could be the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro.

Per screenshots available, the two Realme phones that have received the MIIT certification carry model numbers RMX3820 and RMX3823 respectively. Currently, it remains unclear if these model numbers represent distinct phones or variations of the same phone. We can expect to learn more about these certified handsets if they appear on other certifications or benchmarks in the coming days.

Realme GT Neo 5 Pro: Expected Specifications

Per the past report, the Realme GT Neo 5 Pro is speculated to come with a 6.74-inch OLED display. The device could offer a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 2160Hz PWM dimming. For security purposes, the phone might feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. As for the software, we can expect this upcoming smartphone to boot Android 13 out of the box with Realme UI 4.0 on top.

As far as the other specifications go, the handset is tipped to feature Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device features a 50MP primary camera with OIS support. The smartphone is tipped to possess the same camera design as that of the Realme 11 Pro series. The phone is likely to pack a large battery which could support 100W fast charging. As far as the launch of the device goes, the smartphone could debut in Q3 2023.

As per the tipster, this upcoming smartphone is likely to feature an OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, 100W fast charging, and a 50MP camera.
