Realme has launched a new GT series smartphone in China. The company has launched the GT Neo 5 SE 5G as its new premium offering in the Chinese market. The new GT Neo 5 SE sits below the more premium GT Neo 5 5G, which was launched earlier this year as the GT 3 5G. The GT Neo 5 SE 5G is a trimmed-down version of the GT Neo 5 5G. It gets a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC under the hood. The phone also features a triple-camera setup on the back.

Realme GT Neo 5 SE 5G Price and Specifications 

The Realme GT Neo 5 SE 5G has been launched with multiple RAM and storage options. The base model packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is priced at CNY 1999 (roughly Rs 24,000). The phone is also available with 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options, which are priced at CNY 2199 (roughly Rs 26,300) and CNY 2299 (roughly Rs 27,500). The top-end 16GB + 1TB storage option is priced at CNY 2599 (roughly Rs 31,100).

The GT Neo 5 SE 5G has been launched in Final Fantasy and Shadow Black colour options.

In terms of hardware, the GT Neo 5 SE 5G has a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. The 10-bit panel is flat and sports a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. Realme claims that the phone has a 93.69 per cent screen-to-body ratio. There is support for a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM Dimming.

As mentioned above, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC under the hood. It has a peak clock speed of 2.91GHz and is based on a 4nm process. The phone comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. There is a beefy 5500mAh battery under the hood, which is bigger than the more powerful GT Neo 5 5G. The charging speed, however, is capped at 100W. Realme claims that the phone charges from 1-100 per cent in 31 minutes. The phone weighs about 193 grams.

The GT Neo 5 SE features an in-display fingerprint scanner and support for AI face unlock. It has a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 64MP main camera sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. The camera setup also features an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the phone has a 16MP front camera sensor.

In terms of software, the GT Neo 5 SE 5G runs on the latest Android 13 update out of the box. It has a layer of Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android. At the moment, it is unknown if the phone will launch in India. Realme is expected to launch the phone under the Neo 5 series later this year in the country.
