Realme GT Neo 5 SE Visits China’s MIIT; Launch Likely Soon

Realme launched the Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone in China last month. It is the world’s fastest charging supported smartphone with 240W fast charging tech, at the moment. The smartphone made it to global markets as Realme GT 3 in the MWC 2023 event. Soon after the Chinese launch, there were rumours about Realme launching a special edition of the smartphone. It was tipped to feature an unannounced upcoming Qualcomm chipset. Later the existence of the smartphone was confirmed by the 3C listing. The smartphone was listed in 3C with the model number RMX3700, and it revealed the fast charging details of the device. Ahead of the launch, the Realme GT Neo 5 SE smartphone also visited China’s MIIT (via), hinting that the launch is nearing.

The listing in China’s Ministry of Information Industry Technology reveals the same RMX3700 model number as the 3C listing. Apart from this, the MIIT listing tells us only that it s a 5G supported smartphone. The 3C listing revealed that it would support 100W fast charging tech.

Previously, a tipster had revealed the specifications of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 SE smartphone. The device is said to feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display will have support for 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM Dimming. The smartphone will likely feature the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 chipset. 

The device will run on RealmeUI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box. The AnTuTu listing of the smartphone revealed a score of 10,29,731 points. The score is considerably higher than that of Dimensity 8200 SoC which scored 8,62,000 points. The chipset was previously listed in GeekBench with a single-core score of 1215. It had scored 4064 in multi-core scores.

The octa-core chipset is rumoured to feature one Cortex A710 at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex A710 at 2.5 GHz and four Cortex A510 cores at 1.8 GHz. The chipset will feature Adreno 725 GPU and be built using TSMC’s 4nm process. In contrast, the Realme GT Neo 5 came with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. 

Realme will equip the smartphone with a triple-rear camera setup. The setup includes a 64MP OmniVision sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. A secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and 2MP macro sensor will accompany the primary sensor. The display will have a punch-hole to house 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor.

The smartphone is said to be backed by a large 5,500 mAh battery with 100W fast charging tech. Realme still needs to confirm the smartphone’s existence and launch date. The smartphone is likely to launch globally in late 2023. Realme might launch the smartphone as GT Neo 5 globally.
