Realme GT Neo 5 Series: What We Know So Far

The Realme GT Neo 5 will launch as a successor to the GT Neo 3 5G. Ahead of the launch, some key details of the phone have leaked. The company is expected to launch two phones in the lineup, which will be called the GT Neo 5 and GT Neo 5 Pro. One of the alleged spotted on Weibo by tipster Mukul Sharma revealed that the device will feature a Sony IMX890 main camera. The same sensor is used in the OPPO Reno 9 series and the Find N2 series. The upcoming OnePlus 11 is also said to use the same sensor.

In addition to this, the poster reveals that the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. There will be support for 240W fast charging, as expected. However, only the Pro model will get support for Realme’s latest fast-charging tech, according to a recent report.

The standard model will support 150W fast charging and pack a 5000mAh battery. The 240W charging variant, on the other hand, will feature a 4600mAh battery.

A leaked design render revealed that the phone will have a triple-camera setup on the back. It will feature an ultra-wide camera and most likely a macro sensor.

The device is also said to sport a tall 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2772×1240 pixels. It could offer support for a 144Hz refresh rate as well. The device will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and a hole-punch cutout at the top.

The phone is also said to come with some sort of RGB lighting mechanism and feature a plastic frame. Lastly, Realme is expected to launch the phone with its latest Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 out of the box.
