Realme unveiled the Realme GT 5G smartphone back in March in China. Later, the brand unveiled a cheaper Realme GT series smartphone – Realme GT Neo. The Realme GT Neo sports MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC under-the-hood. The smartphone packs a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast-charging. Now, a new leak by Digital Chat Station suggests that the company could soon introduce a new variant of the Realme GT Neo in China. The upcoming Realme GT series smartphone might be called Realme GT Neo Flash Version, and it will offer a dual-cell battery with 65W fast-charging support.

Realme GT Neo Flash Edition will offer 65W fast-charging!

The biggest change in the GT Neo Flash compared to the regular GT Neo will be around battery and charging. Digital Chat Station claims that the upcoming GT Neo Flash version will get a 4,500mah dual-cell battery compared to the 4,500mAh single cell on the Realme GT Neo. This is done in favour of a faster 65W charging, compared to the 50W on the Realme GT Neo. While, the rest of the specifications of the upcoming GT Neo Flash Edition might be similar to the GT Neo.

To recall, the Realme GT Neo features a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display also houses an in-display optical fingerprint scanner. Under-the-hood, the smartphone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC built on a 6nm fabrication process. The smartphone boots Realme UI 2.0, based on Android 11.

In terms of optics, the smartphone offers a 64MP triple-rear camera setup with an LED flash. The primary 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor gets coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 16MP shooter for selfies, and video calls.

Realme GT Neo is a mid-range smartphone that costs between RMB1799-2299. Digital Chat Station says that this launch will mark the beginning of the 65W, and above fast-charging battle in the mid-range segment. This means we are going to see a bunch of mid-range smartphones with crazy-fast charging this year.
