It seems Twitter has not learned any lessons from last year’s hack when accounts of popular celebrities and high-profile personalities were compromised during a hackers attack. The history has been repeated but on a smaller scale as the official Realme India Support Twitter account has been briefly hacked by some malicious hackers. According to the 91Mobile report, the hackers have used this opportunity to run a cryptocurrency scam by changing the Realme Twitter handle to Tesla and started replying to Elon Musk’s tweets.

Realme Twitter Handle Got Hacked

It seems that the hackers were not that brilliant enough as they left the bio section unchanged. Moreover, the spacing between the letters also looks sceptical. According to the report, the hackers have had only 15 minutes to have some fun with the Realme Twitter account. Post that the social media platform restored the account to its original owners. The tweets posted by the hackers have been deleted by the company as well. Popular tipster Ishan Agarwal was among the first ones to reorganize the hack and report it.

Going with the report, instead of posing a BTC wallet address, the hackers have asked users to visit a website. Usually, hackers post BTC wallet addresses and lure users by promising to double the return on an initial investment in cryptocurrency. It seems that this crypto scam was different or maybe the hackers were too armature to post the BTC wallet address.

“We have been constantly monitoring the development of Realme India Twitter support account. We are also investigating the matter internally and will apprise you once we receive more information,” said Realme Officials.

It seems Twitter needs to increase the security measures as this type of hacks is happening from time to time. Twitter still has some loopholes which have to take care as soon as possible before something big happen. Do share your thoughts on the latest Realme Twitter hack in the comment section.
