Realme might borrow one of OnePlus’ key features for its smartphones. The company falls under the BBK Electronics group from China, which also owns other smartphone giants like Oppo, Vivo and OnePlus. Smartphone brands under the BBK group are known to share their technology resources. One such key feature that Realme might borrow from OnePlus is the Alert Slider.
MySmartPrice has learned exclusively from tipster Yogesh Brar that the Oppo spin-off brand is testing its devices with an alert slider. In case you are not aware, the alert slider switches between ringer and vibrate mode, just like the iPhone. As of now, the alert slider has been regularly found on almost all OnePlus smartphones. It will be the second BBK-owned company after OnePlus to feature an alert slider in its devices.
Realme smartphone with an alert slider launching soon
Realme will launch its first smartphone with an alert slider very soon. The feature will make its way to mid-range smartphones from Realme. Brar tells us that the first smartphone with an alert slider from the house of Realme will launch in April itself. The exact details of the device remain unknown.
OnePlus has not been as keen on bringing the alert slider on its Nord CE series. The button has been available on the Nord 2 and other premium smartphones above Rs 30,000. With Realme launching mid-range smartphones with an alert slider, the feature will be more accessible to consumers.
We are not far away from the launch of the mentioned device. As of now, we do not have the details of the device nor its exact launch date. However, you can rely on us to bring the latest updates regarding the upcoming smartphone with an alert slider.
Realme is currently gearing up for the launch of the Realme 9 5G series. The company has confirmed the launch of two smartphones, which include the 9 5G and 9 5G SE. The devices will feature a Dimensity 810 SoC and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC.
