Realme India has confirmed the launch of its latest budget smartphone in India, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime. The smartphone was launched in the company’s home market, China, in June this year — having been launched in the country through e-commerce platform AliExpress. Now, Realme has confirmed via a post on Twitter that the Realme Narzo 50i Prime will be launched in India on Tuesday, September 13, at 12:30PM.
Realme Narzo 50i Prime: Expected Specifications
According to the specifications of the smartphone launched in China, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime is a budget segment smartphone that comes with proportionally basic specifications. Once launched, the Realme Narzo 50i Prime will become the seventh smartphone of the Realme Narzo 50 portfolio in India — making it a fairly elaborate lineup.

In terms of specifications, the Narzo 50i Prime is tipped to feature the Unisoc T612 SoC, which is an entry level, octa core chip. The smartphone could feature up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage — but its base variant could come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage instead. Given the norm seen in budget smartphones, the Narzo 50i Prime also features a dedicated memory card slot to expand storage in China, which should be retained in India as well.
To the front is a 6.5-inch, HD+ IPS LCD display with standard 60Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be 8.5mm thick, and weigh 182 grams — none of which is out of the ordinary. To the rear, it may feature an 8MP camera with f/2.0 lens that could record full HD videos at 30fps, while to the front, a 5MP camera with 720p video credentials is expected.
The device is expected to feature a 3.5mm audio port, and offer single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with standard 10W charging speed.
Prices of the smartphone range from around Rs 7,500 in global markets for the 3GB RAM variant, and it remains to be seen how Realme prices its new phone at, when it is launched next week. The company already has a C-series for budget smartphones, which may overlap in some manner with the Narzo 50i Prime when it is launched here.
