Realme Pad India Launch Confirmed for September 9; Flipkart Listing Suggests it is Only 6.9mm Thick

Realme is gearing up for yet another launch event in India. The company recently launched its Realme GT series and the Realme Book Slim in the country. It will launch new budget smartphones in India. At the event on September 9, the Oppo spin-off brand will unveil the Realme 8s 5G and the Realme 8i. Alongside, Realme will also debut the Realme Pad, which is the company’s first tablet. The company has been dropping several teasers, revealing some key features of the upcoming tablet. Ahead of the launch, the device is confirmed to be available via Flipkart. Realme Pad launch in India confirmed

Realme will launch its first tablet in India on September 9. The Realme Pad will launch alongside the Realme 8s and Realme 8i in India. The new tablet from Realme will go on sale via Flipkart post launch. Ahead of the launch, Realme has already started teasing the tablet’s key features.

One of the recent teasers revealed the slim profile of the tablet. It is said to sport a slim and lightweight design. The Flipkart microsite (on the mobile app) reveals that the tablet is 6.9mm in thickness.

A recent leak revealed that Realme’s tablet will come with a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC. The tablet is also tipped to have a 10.4-inch AMOLED display. It will have slightly thick black bezels around the display.

For optics, the Realme tab is said to feature an 8MP f/2.8 sensor on the front and back. The only difference between the two is that the front camera will have a fixed focus, whereas the rear camera will come with auto-focus. The Realme Pad has a camera sensor on the right edge when held vertically (or top-edge when placed horizontally).

It has the power button and two speakers on one side of the frame. On the other side is the USB Type-C port and two more speakers. It also has a small cutout at the bottom, which is likely to hold the stylus. The volume rocker is located on the frame, close to the camera module.

Other details include a 7,100 mAh battery with fast charging support, a 6GB + 64GB storage configuration and WiFi-only/ LTE models.
