Francis Wang, CMO of Realme India, has posted a tweet teasing that the brand will be announcing (or launching) its first TV at the MWC 2020 event in Barcelona, Spain, which starts from February 24. Unfortunately, that is all the info he has revealed in the tweet.

We first heard about Realme’s plans to launch a television set back in October, thanks to a report from 91Mobiles. And Realme’s TV has been in the news since then. However, the brand didn’t confirm the news officially. Well, that was the case up until now. Since the television market is a huge business in India, everyone wants to take advantage of the situation and make as much money as they can. Which is why new brands have been entering into the Indian TV segment recently.

Anyway, Realme’s TV might first launch in the Indian market since India is a big market for the brand. The TV from Realme will most probably be an affordable offering, just like the ones from Xiaomi and Motorola. Like most of its competitors, Realme might launch the TV in multiple screen sizes. For example, 32-inch, 43-inch, and 55-inch.

If Realme does want to come out on top among its competitors in the TV department, it will have to equip the TV with IPS LCD display, the latest version of Android OS for TV, a powerful processing system, high RAM and storage capacities, a speaker system better than the rest, and support for major video streaming services.

Anyway, along with the announcement for the launch of Realme TV, Francis Wang, while replying to a user tweet, has confirmed that it will be launching a smartwatch and a fitness band, before it brings the Realme TV to the market. And that is huge news. That is not it, while replying to another tweet, Francis Wang has revealed the brand might also launch a laptop in the future, if its TV does well in the market.
