We know that OPPO’s popular sub-brand Realme is working on a new smartwatch project. You might have also read several of our reports surrounding the expected specifications and other details about this upcoming gadget. In fact, Realme India chief Madhav Sheth was also once seen flaunting the Realme Watch in one of his videos. We have also reported about the Realme Smartwatch appearing on multiple certification websites, implying an imminent launch. In the latest such instance, the Realme Smartwatch has appeared on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) website and has officially been certified by them. This paves the way for Realme to launch the product in markets across the five countries that are part of the Eurasian Economic Community:  Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.

Realme Smartwatch EEC Certification

Apart from the aforementioned Realme Smartwatch, a new OPPO smartphone with the model number OPPO CPH2109 has also appeared on the EEC website. This is an entirely new model number from OPPO and does not seem to have appeared on other certification websites. Details, therefore, remain sketchy at this time. It is likely that the OPPO CPH2109 moniker is simply a localized variant of an existing OPPO smartphone. More details are awaited.
Realme Smartwatch EEC Certification
As for the Realme smartwatch, there is still no word as to when Realme intends to launch this device. With the current COVID-19 crisis showing little signs of abating, we could see Realme push back the launch of this product even further away.
Specifications and other important details about the Realme smartwatch also remain unknown. What we do know, however, is that the device would be similar to Xiaomi’s Mi Watch, which is on sale in select markets across the globe. Both these watches are priced below full-fledged, premium smartwatches and have been targeted at the price-conscious audience on the lookout for a relatively inexpensive smartwatch that ticks almost all the boxes.
Do watch this space for further updates on both these upcoming devices.
