Realme Teases New Smartphone With MediaTek Helio G96, Could it be the Realme 8i?

Realme might be introducing a new smartphone with MediaTek’s Helio G96 chipset soon in the Indian market. The reason for this is that recently Realme teased a new device with Helio G96 SoC. The Chinese smartphone maker has replied to MediaTek India’s Twitter handle asking when can one experience the premium user experience of the Helio G96 chipset? Though the Tweet doesn’t explicitly mention the name of the handset, but it’s obvious from the teaser that the brand has a new device with Helio G96 SoC in the work. The new smartphone which the company could launch with the Helio G95 chipset could be the Realme 8i smartphone. The past leak by Digit had revealed that the Realme 8i will be the first handset powered by a Helio G96 processor. Going by these earlier details, we can see Realme launching Realme 8i with Helio G96 SoC very soon.

A New Realme Smartphone With Helio G96 SoC To Launch Soon?

To recall, MediaTek had introduced the Helio G96 processor back in July. The Helio G96 features two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05 GHz and six A55 cores. The chipset is aided with Mali-G57 MC2. It has support for a 120Hz refresh rate 1080p display and a 108MP camera. The Helio G96 also offers faster LTE, UFS 2.2 storage support, and Bluetooth v5.2 support. As mentioned above, the Realme 8i could be the only smartphone that might be powered by a Helio G96 processor. As of now, the Helio G96 SoC is not used earlier in any device yet and the Realme 8i is claimed to be the first device that could adopt in the Helio G96 chipset. A few days back we had seen the specifications and the renders of the Realme 8i. The Realme 8i is supposed to feature a punch-hole display. The device is tipped to come with a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Realme 8i is rumoured to ship with 4GB of RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.2) of internal storage. The smartphone is supposed to feature a triple-camera setup on the back. The rear camera module is said to include a 50MP main camera and a pair of 2MP depth and macro camera. At the front, the device might feature a 16MP camera. A 5000mAh battery is likely to fuel the device which no doubt will support fast charging. We shall get to know more about the Realme 8i from Realme soon, considering that the Chinese smartphone now has started teasing a new phone with a Helio G96 processor.
