Realme has officially revealed that it will be taking the wraps off its upcoming smart TV called the Realme TV. The announcement was made via Realme India’s official Twitter page with a post showing the words “Watch the TV” and “Leap to Next”. Apart from the TV, Realme is also going to announce its next wearable, the Realme Watch. The event is going to take place starting at 12.30 pm on May 25. There have been several leaks and rumours which have surrounded the devices. Here’s all we know about them.
Realme TV: Rumours and leaked specifications
We had earlier exclusively reported that the Realme TV’s retail packaging box was spotted on the internet showing a 108cm screen size, but there are likely to be more screen-size variants as per a SIG listing of the device. Since it is going to be a smartTV there will likely be support for streaming services such as Amazon Prime, Hotstar, Netflix, and more. As a matter of fact, we also showed a hazy photo of the TV inside its packaging where there was a Netflix logo. There is currently no information on what resolution the screen will be or what processor it will run on. We should know more about the device via leaks leading up to the launch day.
Realme Watch: Rumours and leaked specifications
There is more information available about the Realme Watch. XDA-Developers had last month released renders of the smartwatch and claimed that it would be more-or-less what the Realme Watch will look like. It is said to have a rectangular display like the Apple Watch but surrounded with thick bezels. The screen-size is touted to be 1.4-inch and it will be a TFT LCD touchscreen panel with a 320 x 320 resolution. It will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
As far as software goes, the Realme Watch is said to be running on a proprietary OS instead of Google’s WearOS which is seen on many smartwatches. Apart from that the watch will have support for both Hindi and English and run on a 160mAh battery.
