The Realme U1 will officially launch today, November 28 at 12.30 PM. The Oppo sub-brand is planning to live stream the launch event. Realme will live stream the event on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and its official website. The company has set up a dedicated page on the Realme website as well.
Realme has been promoting the device as “India’s Selfie Pro”. Also, the recently released teaser claimed the smartphone will offer “the perfect combination of power and an astounding selfie experience”. Needless to add, the company has successfully protected the device from persistent leaks. However, Realme has been offering several interesting glimpses of the features and capabilities of the Realme U1.

The Realme U1 has surprisingly remained a closely guarded secret. The company, however, has been releasing some interesting snippets of information on social media platforms. The Realme smartphone could have a 1080 x 2340 Full HD+ panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display could be bigger than 6 inches.
The Realme U1 will be one of the first commercially available Android handsets to sport the 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio P70 processor. The SoC is clocked at 2.1 GHz and works with ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Needless to add, the processor is exceptionally powerful and has proven itself against its contemporaries like the Snapdragon 636 and the Kirin 710.

The highlights of the Realme U1 are undoubtedly the camera setup. The company has advertised about both the front and the back cameras. Realme has not confirmed the exact specifications of the camera setup but offered several images that were reportedly captured from the Realme smartphone. The images appear quite sharp and vivid, indicating Realme has worked hard to embed quality imaging hardware in Realme U1. The front-facing camera can reportedly recognize 296 unique facial recognition points.
Realme has been promoting the Realme U1 as “India’s Selfie Pro”. Moreover, the front-camera may have a wide-angle lens too that is coupled with multiple face detection for group selfies. It is quite likely that both the front and rear cameras may have LED Flash along with AI support. A large 4230mAh battery that possibly supports VOOC Fast Charging is the only other rumored feature.
