Realme launched its first smartwatch early last year. Targeted towards the competitive budget segment, the smartwatch did quite well in the market. Recently, Realme released the Realme Watch S and Watch S Pro in the Indian market. The smartwatches were critically acclaimed for their aesthetics and the features it offers at an affordable price. Now, rumors have suggested that Realme is all set to launch the Realme Watch 2 and Realme Watch 2 Pro. While Realme is yet to officially make an announcement, the recent FCC filings pretty much confirm the launch of the smartwatch.
Realme Watch 2 Pro Bags FCC certification
We have spotted the Realme Watch 2 Pro with model number RMA2006 on the FCC certification website. This comes at a time when the Realme Watch 2 bagged its FCC certifications just a couple of weeks ago. While the complete specifications aren’t listed on the FCC filings, we get to see a label diagram that suggests that the smartwatch will have a square-shaped dial. The Realme Watch 2 Pro’s battery, which also appeared on UL Demko will have a 390 mAh capacity and bears the model number XE205. It will support 2.5W charging as well.
Speaking of the Realme Watch 2, the FCC certification suggested that the watch will be similar in quite a number of aspects as compared to its predecessors. It will feature a 1.4-inch square-shaped display with 320×320 resolution. The smartwatch will be IP68-certified, which means it is resistant to submersion in water up to a depth of 1.5m underwater for a duration of up to thirty minutes.
Furthermore, the Realme Watch 2 will allows users to monitor their heart rate, sleep, and workout. Quite notable of all is the addition of the blood oxygen monitoring feature, which is one of the most popular aspects of a fitness tracker in recent times. There is a meditation mode as well, alongside the usual app notification and music controls.
While we have some information about the Realme Watch 2, what extra features the Realme Watch 2 Pro will have is not known. In all likelihood, we will see all of the features present in the Realme Watch 2 in the Realme Watch 2 Pro as well, but what features will remain reserved for the Pro version remains to be seen. With both the smartwatches getting FCC certification and Indian BIS certification, the launch of these smartwatches in India and other parts of the world seems to be imminent.
