Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme is gearing up for the launch of its first-ever smartwatch, dubbed the Realme Watch, and its first-ever smart TV, dubbed the Realme TV in India on May 25, 2020. Right ahead of the launch, the product page of the Realme Watch has been made live on the company’s official website, which showcases the design of the watch in all its glory. Furthermore, it also gives us a clue about a lot of its specifications and features. The official promotional posters for the Realme Watch fall in line with the leaked specifications and renders, which we reported to you last month. Take a look at what the Realme Watch has in store for us.
Realme Watch listed on official website ahead of launch
As seen in the official promotional posters, the Realme Watch will feature a ‘large’ color touchscreen, which will be sized at 3.5cm or 1.4-inch. Speaking of display size, Realme claims that the Realme Watch will flaunt the biggest screen on a smartwatch in India in the price segment the Realme Watch will be offered at. The Realme Watch will come with features like a 24/7 health assistant and a smart connect feature.
The Realme Watch will come with colorful straps (judging by the poster, we can speculate that the classic strap will be bundled inside the box and the fashion straps will be launched later on) and personalized watch faces. We are not entirely sure as to how many watch faces the Realme Watch will come up with.
Moving on, the Realme Watch will feature 14 sports modes, including Basketball, Table Tennis, Bike, Spinning, Elliptical, Yoga, Cricket, Run, Walk, Treadmill, Badminton, Aerobic Capacity, Fitness, and Football. For reference, the sports mode was featured on the previously launched Realme Band as well. Furthermore, the Realme Watch will sport a real-time health detection mode, which includes heart-rate tracking and SpO2 levels monitoring.
The Realme Watch will have support for connecting with an Android device using the Realme Link app, which is available on the Google Play Store. Moving further, the Realme Watch will feature smart notifications comprised of incoming call alerts, WhatsApp notification alerts, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, SMS alerts, Instagram, Messenger, YouTube, TikTok, and more. The Realme Watch will also be able to control music on the go and can also act as a remote control for the smartphone’s camera.
Coming to the battery of the device, previous leaks have suggested that the Realme Watch will feature a 160mAh battery, which is tipped to keep the lights of the Realme Watch on for about 7 days (provided that the 24-hour heart rate monitoring is on). The watch will allegedly be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. In all likelihood, the Realme Watch will ship with a proprietary OS.
