On top of the dark mode, the latest update takes the Android security patch level on Realme X to October 2019. Furthermore, another notable feature is the fact that one can now swipe down on the home screen in order to access the notification bar, something which a significant bunch of the users of the device has constantly been asking for. Speaking of the notification bar, a new toggle that lets you switch between the SIM cards on the go will now be available in the notification bar after the update.
Adding to that, the new update also improves the touch experience while playing games.
Contrary to the Realme XT update which also featured wide-angle video-shooting capabilities, the official changelog for the Realme X does not mention any such feature, so it is safe to assume that the company has skipped that feature for the Realme X.

As mentioned earlier, it will take a couple of days for the update to roll out completely, so make sure that you prepare your device for the same. First up, you can hit the device settings and hit the check for updates settings option. Post that, if in case your device has already received the OTA update, you can get it by the tap of a button. If you haven’t, you might have to wait it out for a while (though restarting the device also helps sometimes). Make sure that you have charged your device before you start updating it.
As of now, this is all we know about the update, but we will keep you posted on any new development in the future.
