The Realme X debuted in China just last month, with Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth confirming that the phone would make its way to India in the second half of this year. We now have a new report from 91mobiles that suggests the phone will release in India this July, and that the brand will release a special edition Spider-Man-themed case for the phone.

The second installment in MCU’s standalone saga of the beloved web-slinger, Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to hit the theaters on July 4. Sources close to 91mobiles claim that Realme will be releasing a special edition smartphone case that promotes the upcoming Marvel movie. However, it has not been confirmed whether the case will be released alongside the movie, or with the launch of the phone in India. It is also not known if the phone maker plans to offer the case on its own, or bundle it with the Realme X.

Realme X Specification

In a way, the Realme X is an upgraded iteration of the Realme 3 Pro (review), especially since both phones look incredibly similar. While there are different color options to choose from, both phones feature identical S-shaped patterns on their rear panels. The display gets a significant upgrade though, as you now get a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ resolution AMOLED that features a 6th-generation under-display optical fingerprint reader and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This is also an almost entirely bezel-less screen that has no intrusive obstruction as the selfie camera has been shifted to a pop-up mechanism.

Imaging on the Realme X is handled by a 48MP primary camera paired with a 5MP depth sensor at the back. This 48MP camera is a Sony IMX586 sensor that has a ½-inch sized sensor and an f/1.7 aperture. This setup offers 4K 30fps video recording support alongside the traditional imaging features such as Chroma Boost, HDR, Nightscape, and Portrait mode. For selfies, you have a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor situated within the pop-up unit up top.

The Realme X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and runs Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0 out of the box. There is a 3700mAh capacity battery on this phone that supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging over a USB Type-C port. For connectivity, the phone offers dual-SIM with 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and a dedicated microSD card tray.

Realme X Expected Price in India

In China, the Realme X starts off at CNY 1,499 for its 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, which equates to around INR 15,500 in India. The top-end model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at CNY 1,799, which equates to roughly INR 18,600.
