The competition between Realme and Redmi does not seem to catch a breather anytime soon as both the brands are planning to take it up a notch by entering the mid-range segment. Xiaomi is working on a high-end smartphone for the mid-range segment dubbed Redmi X, and now Realme is reported to be working on a similar phone, the Realme X. The phone is tipped to come powered by a Snapdragon 730 processor. Allegedly, there is another variant too, named Realme X Pro.

Recently, we came across a teaser of an unannounced Realme phone featuring a pop-up front camera and a notch-less screen. Realme’s CMO Xu Qi hinted it to be the Realme X. Now, a leak by Ishan Agarwal suggests that it might be the same Realme phone which was spotted at TENAA with the model number RMX1901. He also suggests that the company could launch the recently announced Realme 3 Pro as Realme X Lite in China.

Realme X With Snapdragon 730 SoC, 48MP Camera

According to the tweet by @I_Leak_VN, Realme is prepping to launch two new phones – Realme X and Realme X Pro. The Realme X reportedly packs Snapdragon 730 SoC while its display would have Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection layer. It may have VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology supporting the battery and an In-display fingerprint sensor. Concerning optics, the Realme X is expected to sport a 48MP+5MP rear camera setup while the front camera would embrace the pop-up design like the recently launched OPPO F11 Pro.

The tweet also reveals the variants and expected pricing for the Realme X. The 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is tipped at CNY 1,599 (approx. INR 16,500) and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant CNY 1,799 (approx. INR 18,500). The top-end 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version might launch at CNY 1,999 (approx. INR 20,600).
