As you might know, Realme has launched two new products in the Indian market today – the Realme X2 and the Realme Buds Air — at an event in New Delhi.
According to the roadmap, the Realme X2 that has been launched today will get the brand’s new software in March 2020. I wonder why didn’t the brand announce the news at the launch event.
Anyway, the roadmap also reveals the timeline for the rollout of the new firmware (custom UI based on Android 10) for other Realme smartphones. Here is when they’ll get the update –
- Realme 3 Pro – January 2020
- Realme XT – January 2020
- Realme X – February 2020
- Realme 5 Pro – February 2020
- Realme X2 – March 2020
- Realme X2 Pro – March 2020
- Realme 3 – April 2020
- Realme 3i – April 2020
- Realme 5 – May 2020
- Realme 5s – May 2020
- Realme 2 Pro – June 2020
- Realme C2 – Q3 2020
Unfortunately, Realme hasn’t detailed its upcoming custom UI. Reports suggest that the new firmware will have a stock Android look, unlike Oppo’s ColorOS that Realme currently uses.
Expect the upcoming software to pack all of the Android 10’s native features. It might most probably come with India specific features similar to the ones that you can find in the ColorOS.
