Two important things happened on November 20 – the Realme X2 Pro got launched in India and the latest iteration of ColorOS 7 got unveiled in China. In yesterday’s announcement, we got to know that the Realme X2 Pro will start receiving the latest ColorOS 7 update in Q4, 2020. That, however, does not have to be the case for those who cannot wait for this long to taste the latest sweetness of ColorOS on their Realme X2 Pro as the early adopters of the same can get their hands on it starting from December 18.
Realme X2 Pro to get ColorOS 7 update under the Early Adopters program
The news got official courtesy of a post by Realme’s CMO Chase on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo wherein he has confirmed that the company will indeed start rolling out the ColorOS 7 update to the Realme X2 Pro devices in China.
In order to be able to get the update, interested users will have to register for it in the Realme community.
As of now, this is all we know about the Early Adopters program, but we can expect the company to shed some light on the terms and conditions for the same in the coming days.
The ColorOS 7 comes with a new design overhaul. The icons are flatter and rounder. The size and shape of the icons is now customizable. We get a new bunch of wallpapers courtesy of the recent collaboration with Art+. Furthermore, there are new system sounds available which have arrived as a result of the recent partnership with Episound. The camera app has also got a refreshing makeup with the new Portrait Mode 2.0, Extreme Night Mode, and Super Anti-shake Video mode.
