Xu Qi Chase, Marketing Officer at Realme, announced it on Weibo that the brand will soon launch a flagship smartphone with the Snapdragon 855+ SoC in China. What’s interesting here is that Chase made this announcement on Weibo using a device that hasn’t launched yet – the Realme X2 Pro. And it is pretty much the same Snapdragon 855+ powered device that Chase is talking about.
Realme X2 Pro Could Be Based On Realme X2
Unfortunately, there is no official information regarding the specifications of the Realme X2 Pro at the moment. Moreover, there hasn’t been any leak of the device either. That being said, the name suggests that the Realme X2 Pro will be an advanced variant of the Realme X2 that made its debut a few days ago in China. If that turns out to be true, the Realme X2 Pro could share many of its components with the Realme X2. Therefore, you can expect the Realme X2 Pro to feature an OLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, a 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast charging, and a USB Type-C port.
Realme X2 Pro Could Be The Most Affordable Snapdragon 855+ Smartphone
Realme is known for offering value for money affordable smartphones. Although the Realme X2 Pro will be the costliest device from the brand, I am sure it will offer great value for money. In my opinion, the Realme X2 Pro will be the most affordable Snapdragon 855+ powered smartphone. Currently, the Redmi K20 Pro is the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 855+ SoC, and it costs INR 27,999 for the base variant. You can expect the Realme X2 Pro to be even cheaper. Maybe around INR 25,000 for the base variant. That being said, we can’t say anything for sure at the moment. Stay tuned on MySmartPrice to know more about the device.
