Chinese smartphone brand Realme is all set to announce a new flagship-grade handset called the Realme X2 Pro in China soon. Until recently, wey little was known about this new handset, and whatever scant information we received came from occasional teasers that came from Realme themselves. However, there have been recent developments of late, though. Recently, in China, a senior Realme official shared the first-ever images of the Realme X2 Pro. This was followed by a listing on TENAA, which detailed some of the specifications of the device. Closer home in India, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth announced the imminent arrival of the Realme X2 Pro in December. Yes, you heard that right. The Realme X2 Pro will be officially launched in India sometime in December.

Realme X2 Pro Specifications, What we know so far

The Realme X2 Pro is touted as a flagship-grade handset and will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC. While not confirmed yet, the phone will be offered in multiple RAM and storage variants – one of them being the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant that is more or less confirmed. The phone is likely to feature a FullHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The panel will also sport a 90Hz refresh rate, which is currently available for the OnePlus 7 series. Ony the ROG Phone 2 with its 120Hz refresh rate is ahead of everyone else in this department. The Realme X2 Pro reportedly also features a 3900mAh battery (which is a bit low for a phone of its size). It, however, more than makes up for this anomaly by offering support for 50W fast charging.

The Realme X2 Pro boasts of a quad-camera array at the rear. The primary camera uses a 64MP sensor while the other three cameras get 13-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 2-megapixel sensors. At the front, the X2 Pro gets a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Realme X2 Pro price in India, availability

The Realme X2 Pro will be launched in India by December 2019 if we are to believe Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme India. While we do not have any inkling of the prospective price of this device, in China, the 6GB+64GB version costs CNY 3000 – which translates to around Rs 30,000. It remains to be seen of Realme does manage to keep the price of the X2 Pro under that of the OnePlus 7 series and match the price of the K20 Pro from Xiaomi.
