
Realme has revealed on Weibo the name of its first 5G-equipped smartphone — It will be called the X50 5G. According to the brand, the ‘X’ in the name represents Realme’s X line-up of smartphones that bring with them all the new technologies from the brand, ‘5’ stands for the first 5G smartphone from the company, and ‘0’ represents that the upcoming leap year, 2020, will be a leap year (beginning) of a 5G era for smartphones.
Realme X50 5G Will Have Dual-mode 5G And Dual Punch-Hole Display
The post on Weibo is accompanied by an image, which reveals that the Realme X50 5G will have dual-mode 5G (SA/NSA). The image also has a silhouette of the X50 5G, which shows that the smartphone will have a punch-hole display with two front-facing cameras. Unfortunately, that is all the information Realme has revealed in the post.
Realme X50 5G Might Not Make It to The Indian Market
The brand is yet to announce the exact launch date. However, Realme hints that the X50 5G might launch next year since the brand has said in the post on Weibo that it believes 2020 to be a leap year for 5G smartphones. Realme will most probably launch the X50 5G in markets with 5G cellular connectivity. Unfortunately, India isn’t one of them. Therefore, don’t expect the Realme X50 5G to make it to the Indian market.
Realme X50 5G Will Most Likely Have Flagship-grade Hardware
You can expect the Realme X50 5G to have flagship-grade hardware. It might pack Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship processor – the Snapdragon 865. In terms of imaging, you can expect the handset to have a quad-camera or a penta-camera setup comprising of a 108MP primary camera, one telephoto camera, and one ultrawide camera. The X50 5G could over the 90Hz OLED display, 50W fast charging, and stereo speakers from the Realme X2 Pro. Other features might include USB Type-C port, dual-SIM connectivity, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi ax, 3.5mm audio jack, and splash-resistance body.
