Realme has finally launched the much talked about stripped-down version of the Realme X50 in China. Initially reported to be christened the Realme X50 Youth Edition, the handset has been finally launched in the country as the Realme X50m. The phone is set to go on sale in China starting April 29 for a starting price of CNY 1999, which translates to around Rs 21,500.

Most of the specifications of this handset are already known to use thanks to a series of leaks before the launch of the phone. Nevertheless, let us, once again, take a closer look at the Realme X50m, its key specifications, and features.

As outlined earlier, the Realme X50m is a proper midrange device that comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset, which is the gaming-oriented variant of the standard 765 processor. This chipset houses an octa-core processor with eight Kryo 475 cores divided into two clusters. The 765G chipset is 5G ready, making the phone capable of using 5G networks in China.

The Realme X50m comes in two variants – a base variant that offers 128GB storage and 6GB RAM and a pricier option that gets 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM. The phone also comes into color options: Starry Blue and Galaxy White. The phone also gets a large 4,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and claims to charge the phone from 0% t0 70% in 30 minutes.

The display used on the Realme X50m is an IPS LCS panel that measures 6.5-inches across and boasts of FHD+ resolution and 129Hz refresh rate. The panel also houses a punch-hole style notch that houses twin cameras. The phone gets a fingerprint scanner that is located on the right side as a part of the power button.

The camera setup used on the Realme X50m includes a quad-camera setup at the rear that consists of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary ultra wide-angle camera, and twin 2-megapixel cameras. The dual-camera setup at the front includes a primary 16MP camera and a secondary 2MP depth sensor. As mentioned earlier, the handset is set to go on sale in China starting April 29. There is no word if Realme has plans to bring this handset to other markets around the globe.
