Realme has announced that it is postponing the Realme X7 Max launch in India. The company decided to postpone the launch due to the COVID-19 second wave that has hit the country. The launch event was slated for May 4, where the company was also going to launch the Realme TV. The two products will now be unveiled at a later date. Realme India has not announced the new launch date of its upcoming products. India is currently going through the second wave of COVID-19, recording over three lakh new cases on a daily basis.

Realme has announced that it is postponing the launch of its upcoming products in India. The company had planned to launch the X7 Max and Realme TV in India.
Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth made the announcement on Twitter. “After careful consideration, #realme has decided to postpone the upcoming smartphone and AIoT products’ launch along with anniversary celebrations. In these difficult times, let’s focus on contributing as much as possible. Stay home, Stay strong! We will be back soon,” the post read.
The company had planned to launch the X7 Max and Realme TV on May 4. The new launch date of the upcoming Realme products is not known at the moment. However, looking at the current situation, we do not expect the company to host the event any time soon.
In related news, Realme announced that it will partner with civil society organisations to address the current oxygen shortage crisis. It will also donate one lakh masks via its offline stores. Other smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, Apple, and Google have also pledged to help India with relief measures. Xiaomi said that it will buy over 1,000 oxygen concentrators worth Rs 3 crore. It will donate these concentrators to states that have been worst hit by the pandemic. These include Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka, etc.
