Realme has a whole bunch of new hardware incoming, which will all be unveiled at a launch event on May 4th. Revealed as part of an ‘Ask Madhav’ session held by company CEO Madhav Sheth, the event date was confirmed as the eve of its third anniversary. Furthermore, a tweet by Mukul Sharma highlights that the event will be headlined by the upcoming Realme X7 Max, which for the longest time was tipped to launch as the Realme GT Neo. Also expected to be launched at the event is a new version of Realme TV to further diversify the company’s presence in the smart TV segment.
Realme X7 Max: expected specs so far
The Realme X7 Max is pretty much confirmed to feature the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC when it is launched. Along with this, the smartphone may come with a 6.55-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate. In terms of cameras, the X7 Max may feature a 64MP triple rear camera, and a 32MP front facing camera in a drill-hole slot.
The Realme X7 Max may further feature a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging, and feature Android 11 with Realme UI’s custom interface on top. The smartphone will add to the existing Realme X7 and X7 Pro in India, the latter two being launched already.
New Realme TV: what we know so far
When Realme introduced its TV lineup in the country, it featured 32-inch and 43-inch smart LED TVs, while the 55-inch variant came with what the company claimed was an all-new display technology with an ‘SLED’ panel. The latter claimed reduced blues emitting from the TV screen, which would have an impact on the overall impact on eyes – while delivering optimal picture quality.
The new Realme TV expected at the Realme X7 Max launch event is speculated to be based on SLED technology, now in smaller screen sizes. According to reports, the new Realme TV will be a 43-inch Realme SLED TV, which would therefore introduce the signature Realme display tech to smaller smart TVs and more affordable prices. More details should be unveiled as we build up to the launch event next week.
