Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of a new budget smartphone in India. The Redmi 10 Prime is the company’s new budget phone that will launch on September 3. The Redmi 10 Prime has launched in international markets as the Redmi 10. It comes with a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and a 90Hz IPS LCD. The Redmi 10 launched in International markets also features a 5000 mAh battery. It looks like Xiaomi will pack a slightly bigger battery in the Redmi 10 Prime. Xiaomi will launch the Redmi 10 Prime in India on September 3. Ahead of the launch, the company has teased some specs of the device. The latest teaser confirms that the Redmi 10 Prime will have a 6000 mAh battery. The phone, which is available in the international market as the Redmi 10, features a 5000 mAh battery. The international model comes with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse charging. We can expect the same for the Indian variant as well.
Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain also revealed that the phone will be Redmi’s lightest device with a 6000 mAh battery. The Redmi 10 with a 5000 mAh battery weighs around 181 grams and is 8.9mm thick.

Specs and pricing details
The upcoming Redmi smartphone features a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. It comes with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in select markets. The base 4GB + 64GB variant was launched for $179 (roughly Rs 13,300). It also comes in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB storage options, which are priced at $199 (roughly Rs 14,800) and $199 (roughly Rs 14,800), respectively.
At the front, the phone has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD with an adaptive refresh rate. The display switches between 45, 60 and 90Hz. The 8MP front camera is placed inside the hole punch cutout. On the back, the phone has a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary camera sensor. It also has an 8MP ultrawide lens and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro.
