Xiaomi, back in 2020, launched its entry-level handsets – Redmi 9A, and Redmi 9i. These handsets are due for a refresh. It looks like the company will soon introduce the successor of the Redmi 9A. Just now, we spotted the Redmi 220233L2C on the Geekbench benchmark database. This is the Redmi 10A Chinese variant. The database listing also reveals some key specifications of the upcoming entry-level Redmi device. Let us take a closer look at the details,

Redmi 10A will Come Pre-loaded with Android 11!

The upcoming Redmi 220233L2C scored 787 points in the single-core round of the Geekbench 4 test. Whereas, in the multi-core round, the score was around 3710 points in the same test. The listing confirms that the handset will sport an octa-core processor with codename dandelion. Based on this, the Redmi 10A appears to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 processor.

The MediaTek Helio G25 is quite an old processor. In fact, the same processor powers the Redmi 9A as well as the Redmi 9i. It’s surprising that the entry-level Redmi phone will not bring any improvement over its predecessor in terms of performance unit.

The benchmark listing further reveals that the handset will come in a 4GB memory configuration. Though, we can expect the company to launch it in other configurations as well. The handset will boot Android 11, but as usual, we should see the company’s proprietary MIUI skin on top.

Apart from this, the listing doesn’t reveal anything about the upcoming entry-level Redmi handset. However, we can expect the handset to offer a large display with an HD+ resolution. The handset might be equipped with a 5,000mAh or a 6,000mAh battery unit with 10W charging support. The handset might offer a single or a dual rear camera setup.

The global variant of the Redmi 10A with model number 220233L2G has already appeared on the IMEI database, so we can expect the handset to launch soon in the global markets. What are your expectations from the upcoming Redmi 10A? Do let us know in the comments below.
