Redmi 10A India Launch Officially Set for April 20: Here’s What we Know About the Smartphone

Xiaomi, a couple of weeks back, launched the entry-level Redmi 10A handset in China. Now, the brand has confirmed that the device will launch soon in the Indian market. Redmi India took to social media channels to announce the launch of its upcoming entry-level device. Going by the announcement, the Redmi 10A will launch on the April 20 in the country.

The entry-level Redmi device features a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD display with 400nits brightness, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop notch.

Under the hood, the handset sports a quad-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which comes paired with an integrated PowerVR GPU. To those unaware, the same processor also powers the Redmi 9A, so in terms of performance, we are likely to see no improvement.

On the optics front, the it sports a 13MP rear camera and an LED flash. There is a 5MP shooter at the front for selfies and video calls.

The entry-level Redmi device 10A is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit. It supports 10W charging over a micro-USB port. One improvement that the Redmi 10A brings over its predecessor is the inclusion of the fingerprint scanner. The handset also offers a 3.5mm audio jack and a dedicated micro-SD card slot.

The device comes in three colour options – Black, Blue, and Silver. We can expect it to launch in all three colour options in the Indian market as well.

Redmi 10A Expected Price in India

The Redmi 10A is priced at RMB 649 for the 4GB + 64GB variant. So, we can expect it to be priced around 7,999 in the Indian market. The handset also retails in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variant in the Chinese market, which retail for RMB 799 (approximately Rs 9,500) and RMB 899 (approximately Rs 10,720) respectively.
