Redmi 10A with MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, 5,000mAh Battery Launched in India: Price, Specifications


Xiaomi India has added a new affordable smartphone under the Redmi lineup today. The company has unveiled the Redmi 10A budget smartphone. The latest smartphone from the company is marketed as a “Desk ka smartphone”, meaning this device is for all Indians, who are specifically looking for an entry-level and affordable device. The Redmi 10A was launched in China back in March and now the device has made its way to India as the successor to the Redmi 9A.

The Redmi 10A comes with a MediaTek processor, a large battery, which is said to last for 2 days and a single rear camera. Let’s take a look at the phone’s specifications and pricing in detail.

Redmi 10A Pricing and Availability

The Redmi 10A comes in two configurations 一 3GB+32GB variant is priced at Rs 8,499and the 4GB+164GB variant is priced at Rs 9,499. The colour options include Blue, Silver, and Black. The phone will go on sale starting on April 26, 2022, on Amazon.

Redmi 10A: Specifications and Features

The affordable Redmi 10A comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ LCD display with 400nits brightness, 20:9 aspect ratio, and a waterdrop style notch. The phone draws power from an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor with a clock speed of up to 2GHz along with PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The handset runs on MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11 一 which is disappointing for a phone launching in April 2022. The phone comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, while from the images it looks like the Redmi 10A will feature a multi-camera setup, in reality, the phone comes with just a single camera on the back with a 13MP sensor along with LED flash. For selfies and video calls, the phone comes with a 5MP shooter. The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery, which is rated to last up to 2 days on a single charge. The device comes with a Type-C port and supports 10W charging as well.

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, 9mm thickness, 194-gram weight, and Bluetooth 5.0.
