Today former Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has announced a slew of products in China including its latest Redmi 10X-series smartphones. There are two 5G versions of the phone which are the Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro, both of which are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 820 SoC. You can read about them here. Apart from that there was also a third smartphone which was the Redmi 10X 4G and it is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC.

Redmi 10X 4G: Price and availability
The Redmi 10X 4G happens to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 which had already been announced in global markets. The phone starts at CNY 999 (about Rs 11,500) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage version. There is also a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 1,199 (about Rs 13,000). It is currently available for purchase in China.
Redmi 10X 4G: Specifications and features
The Redmi 10X 4G has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display and unlike the 5G variants, the phone has a punch-hole display for the selfie shooter. Other design features on the phone remain except that the device has a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back instead of an in-display variety.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC which is focused on handling graphics better. Redmi 10X 4G supports up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, which is not expandable. There is also IP53 water and dust resistance rating which will give additional protection to the device. On the software side of things, the phone will run on Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 skin which is based on Android 10.
Optics-wise the phone supports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, there is a 13MP front-facing camera housed in the punch-hole. Powering the whole setup is a 5,020mAH battery with 18W fast charging support.
