Xiaomi recently unveiled the Redmi 11 Prime series for the Indian market. The Redmi 11 Prime series consists of two devices – the Redmi 11 Prime and the Redmi 11 Prime 5G. Out of the duo, the Redmi 11 Prime 5G will go on sale for the first time starting today in the country. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is the company’s first 5G-enabled handset under the Redmi number series and it also happens to be the cheapest 5G handset to date under the Redmi branding.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G will go on sale starting at 12:00 PM, today exclusively via Amazon and Mi Store. The smartphone will also be available for purchase at leading offline stores including Mi Home stores. As a launch offer, Xiaomi is offering a Rs 1,000 instant discount with ICICI Card transactions.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G price in India is Rs 13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB configuration. There is also a 6GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi handset that costs Rs 15,999.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G flaunts a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display panel with a 2040 × 1080 pixel resolution, up to 90Hz refresh rate, a water drop notch, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Powering the latest Redmi smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor that brings with it an integrated Mali G57 GPU. Built on a 7nm fabrication process, the Dimensity 700 comes coupled with up to 6GB LPDRR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The handset boots MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12.

On the optics front, the 5G variant of the Redmi 11 Prime offers a dual-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary shooter. The high-resolution sensor on the device gets accompanied by a 2MP depth shooter and an LED flash. The smartphone features an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit. The handset supports 18W fast charging. However, it comes with a 22.5W fast charging adapter in the box. The device features a Type-C port for charging and data transfers. The latest smartphone from Redmi offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack with hi-res audio.
