Redmi 11 Prime 5G Gets India Price Cut; Now Available at a Starting Price of Rs 12,999

Redmi 11 Prime 5G has received a price cut in India, the smartphone was launched in September at Rs 13,999 and now its prices have been slashed by flat Rs 1,000.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G was launched in two storage variants in India, i.e. 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB in-house storage. It comes in three color options – Chrome Silver, Meadow Green, and Thunder Black. Notably, the smartphone was launched in the budget-friendly range and comes with decent features.

The 4GB RAM and 64GB variant will now cost you Rs 12,999, whereas the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant is priced at Rs 14,999 after a drop in the price. Notably, the new prices are available on Amazon and the company’s website. Plus, ICICI Bank credit card customers will get Rs 1,000 off via an e-commerce application.

Redmi 11 Prime 5G Smartphone: Specifications

Moving to the specifications, the Redmi 11 Prime 5G smartphone boasts a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with 2408×1080 pixel resolution. It offers a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The budget-friendly smartphone supports MediaTek Dimensity 700 system-on-chip (SoC) that is paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The storage can be increased up to 512GB via microSD card and runs Android 12-based MIUI 13. On the imaging front, the device offers a dual camera setup at the back. It has a 50MP primary camera and 2MP depth sensor along with f/24 aperture, while the selfie camera sports 8MP with f/2.2 aperture.

Besides, the smartphone gets power from a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charging technology. In addition, the smartphone comes with dual SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, and hi-res audio. On the connectivity front, the smartphone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Apart from that, the smartphone has an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, and more. It is worth noting that the smartphone has been launched recently with Android 12 and is expected to receive an update soon. The specifications of the smartphone seem decent, but still, you can look for other 5G devices in the same price bracket, if you are not a Xiaomi fan.

To those unaware, the company has also launched Redmi 11 Prime 4G VoLTE with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, 6.58-inch IPS LCD, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the Redmi 11 Prime 4G is priced at Rs 12,999, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant will cost you Rs 14,999. It is available on the company’s website, stores, and Amazon. Furthermore, Xiaomi is expected to bring Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro Plus smartphones on January 5. These smartphones are already available in China and Indian variants are likely to have the same specifications and features.
