Redmi 11 Prime Series with Up to Dimensity 700 SoC Launched in India

The Redmi 11 Prime series consists of two phones – Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G is the first phone to support 5G in the Prime series.
The 4G variant of the Redmi 11 Prime features a Mediatek Helio G99 SoC under the hood.

Redmi has launched the Redmi 11 Prime series in India that features two smartphones – Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 11E 5G that was launched in China months ago. Redmi is bringing a 5G device in the Prime series for the first time in India.

Both the Redmi 11 Prime series devices pack almost the same specifications except their processor. The 4G variant packs a Mediatek Helio G99 chipset, which makes it the third device in India to launch with the same. Earlier, the POCO M5 and Infinix Note 12 Pro had launched with the same. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G packs a slew of features as well.

The Redmi 11 Prime Series devices will go on sale via Mi.com and Amazon on September 9 at 12:00 PM. The Redmi 11 Prime colour options include Peppy Purple, Flashy Black, and Playful Green. On the other hand, the Redmi 11 Prime 5G will be available in three colour options – Thunder Black, Chrome Silver and Meadow Green.

Redmi 11 Prime 4G: Full Features

The Redmi 11 Prime 4G version flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. On the front, there is a water-drop notch which houses an 8MP camera.

It comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

On the back, the phone sports a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 50MP main camera accompanied by two 2MP macro and depth shooters.

Redmi 11 Prime 5G: Full Features

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G sports a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution and a 20.7:9 aspect ratio. The display supports 400 nits of peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate. It also sports a water-drop notch on the front for an 8MP selfie camera. The 11 Prime 5G weighs about 200 grams and is 8.9mm thick.

On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The phone has a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It packs a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. However, Xiaomi is bundling a 22.5W fast charger in the box.

The phone draws power from a Dimensity 700 SoC, which is an entry-level 5G processor and is paired with ARM Mali G57 GPU. The SoC is coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The phone runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

Other features of the device include a single speaker, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
