Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of a new Redmi smartphone. The company might sooon launch the Redmi 12 in various markets. It will debut as a successor to the Redmi 10, which was launched early last year. Xiaomi has not confirmed the launch date of the upcoming budget smartphone from Redmi. However, the launch of the Redmi 12 seems imminent. The budget smartphone has been spotted on multiple certification websites ahead of its launch.

The device has been spotted on as many as four certification websites. The latest listing of upcoming Redmi smartphone on EEC, IMDA, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and NBTC suggests an imminent launch. Redmi 12 Launch Seems Imminent

The Redmi 12 will be a new budget smartphone launching in various markets very soon. It has cleared multiple certifications, hinting at an imminent launch. The device has the model number 23053RN02A. It has been spotted on the NBTC website, which confirms the model number and the official moniker. The same device was also spotted on the BIS, IMDA and EEC certification websites, which also revealed the model number of the phone.

Unfortunately, these listings do not reveal any specifications of the upcoming Redmi smartphone. The Redmi 12 was previously spotted on the FCC and IMEI certification websites. It revealed that the 4G smartphone runs MIUI 14 out of the box, which should be based on Android 13. The device was also spotted being tested with a charger that has the model number MDY-12-EA. Based on the details, it is safe to say that the device supports 33W fast charging. 

While the listing did not reveal the battery capacity, we can expect Xiaomi to at least pack a 5000mAh battery in the device.

Other specifications of the phone, such as its display size, camera specifications and processor type are unknown. Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about the launch date of the device.
