Redmi 13C Receives BIS Certification; India Launch Seems Imminent

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is working towards the launch of the Redmi 13C smartphone soon. The device is tipped to debut in 4G and 5G variants. The smartphone was spotted on the NBTC, EEC, and IMEI certification websites a couple of weeks back. The NBTC certification confirmed the moniker details and revealed the model number of the handset as 23106RN0DA. The same smartphone was spotted on the IMEI certification with model numbers as 23124RN87C, 23124RN87G, and 23124RN87I respectively. Now, in a recent development, the Redmi 13C has received India’s BIS certification.

Redmi 13C Might Launch In India Soon

The device is spotted on the certification website with a model number as 23124RN87I. Apart from the Redmi 13C, another Xiaomi smartphone with model number 23128PC33I has received the BIS certification in India. The BIS certification listing does indicate one way that the Redmi 13C India launch is imminent.

In a piece of related news, recently the live images of the device were also revealed. The leak disclosed that the smartphone will feature a 6.74-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is tipped to feature an octa-core chipset. The handset will be featuring a triple-camera setup. The camera module is expected to include a 50MP primary camera.

The whole package is likely to draw power from a 5,000mAh battery which could support 18W fast charging. The device is also expected to feature a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. The same device is also expected to debut in some markets with the POCO C65 moniker.

The Redmi 13C will be arriving as a successor to the Redmi 12C smartphone. To recall, the Redmi 12C made its debut in India in March this year along with the Redmi Note 12 4G. The Redmi 12C is powered by an octa-core Helio G85 SoC. It features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display which has an HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone flaunts a 50MP dual-camera setup and it has a 5MP selfie camera. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery which supports 10W fast charging. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999 in India and it comes in Matte Black, Royal Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender Purple colours.
