Redmi 20X poster

A teaser poster has surfaced on the internet, showing what appears to be the Redmi 20X – primed for launch in China. The smartphone in question is most likely a China specific device, and a closer look at the poster, including the design of the specified smartphone and its key specifications, reveal that the upcoming Redmi phone may be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 5G that has already been launched globally. The Redmi 20X bears identical looks to the Redmi Note 10 5G, and is in line with Xiaomi’s strategy of rebranding its phones for specific markets.

Redmi 20X: expected specifications

According to the teaser poster, the Redmi 20X is confirmed to be a 5G smartphone. The poster also reveals it to have 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage – in line with what the Redmi Note 10 5G offers as well. Other specific details include a 48MP triple rear camera, a centrally aligned punch hole front camera slot and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated in the power button – which is also exactly the same as what the Redmi Note 10 5G offers.

The device bears a unique styling detail in the form of a silver ring surrounding the LED flash module and two of the three rear cameras, which is also retained in Redmi’s upcoming 20X. Other expected specifications of the smartphone would include a 6.5-inch, full HD+ display panel, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC, up to 6GB RAM, 48MP main camera in the triple rear camera setup with 4K videography, an 8MP front camera, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 with LE, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Expected pricing

The Redmi 20X teaser poster reveals a price tag of CNY 999 (approx. Rs 11,000) for the 4GB RAM + 128GB variant, which is about the same as what the Redmi Note 10 costs in India. Once launched, the smartphone may also have more RAM and storage variants, which would therefore be priced accordingly. Given that the final retail poster has leaked, the device may be launched in China very soon.
