Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently launched its Redmi Note 9 series of smartphones in India and in the global market. In India, the brand unveiled the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphones, while globally, it introduced the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9S, and the Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphones. The only thing that is still missing out on the roster is the Redmi 9 smartphone. Well, as it turns out, Xiaomi could soon be launching the Redmi 9 as well as we have spotted the same on the company’s official RF certification (global) website.
Redmi 9 with 10W charging also appeared on 3C
As seen in the image above, the Redmi 9 (with the model number M2004J19G) has received the RF certification, which hints at an imminent launch. Though the certification does not explicitly tell us anything about the device, it is the first time that the Redmi 9 moniker has been confirmed, so it is a crucial lead.
Nevertheless, the Redmi 9 has already appeared on various global certifications like the Eurasian EEC certification, the Chinese MIIT website, and the Chinese 3C certification as well. The 3C certification has revealed that the Redmi 9 will feature standard 10W charging. The device will likely ship with Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s MIUI skin baked on top of it.
As of now, this is all the information that we have about the Redmi 9 smartphone, but since it has already started popping up on various certifications, we can expect it to launch in the near future. Whenever we receive more intel on the same, we will make it a point to keep you posted.
