Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 9 series in China a couple of weeks back. The cheapest phone in the Redmi Note 9 Series (Chinese variants) series is the Redmi Note 9 4G. Redmi Note 9 4G is expected to launch as Redmi 9T in global markets but it is coming as Redmi 9 Power in the Indian market. The company, a couple of days back, also teased the launch of the upcoming Redmi 9 Power. Now, Xiaomi has revealed Redmi 9 Power India launch date. Redmi 9 Power to launch in India on December 17!
Xiaomi, via social media handles, has confirmed that the Redmi 9 Power will launch in India on 17th of this month. The announcement tweet reads,

Redmi 9 Power: Price in India (Expected)
We are expecting the Redmi 9 Power to launch in India in two memory-storage configurations, 4/64GB, and 4/128GB. We can expect the base variant to cost Rs. 9,999 while the 4/128GB variant might cost a couple of thousand bucks more. Similar to other Redmi 9 series devices, the Redmi 9 Power will also be an Amazon exclusive.
Redmi 9 Power Specifications (Expected)
We should see a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display with a water-drop notch on the Redmi 9 Power. Under-the-hood, it should pack an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, similar to Redmi Note 9 4G. The smartphone should pack LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB onboard storage with a dedicated micro-SD card slot.
Coming to the optics, the Redmi 9 Power is confirmed to offer a 48MP quad-rear camera setup. The primary 48MP sensor on the smartphone should get accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. While the other two lenses should be 2MP macro and depth sensors. On the front, the device will offer an 8MP shooter. On the battery front, we should see a 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The device will offer a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
Redmi 9 Power should boot Android 10 based MIUI 12 similar to other Xiaomi smartphones. The fingerprint sensor might be embedded into the power button similar to the Chinese counterpart. The smartphone will offer a 3.5mm audio jack, and an IR blaster. Though we might see a stereo speaker setup as hinted by an official teaser.
