Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has earlier today announced that a new budget smartphone, the Redmi 9i, will be launched in India on September 15. The upcoming smartphone will be joining the growing list of Redmi 9 smartphones including, Redmi 9, Redmi 9A, and Redmi 9 Prime. Now, just ahead of the official launch, the Redmi 9i price in India has been leaked along with some key details. Tipster Ishan Agarwal in association with 91Mobiles has revealed the pricing and other features of the upcoming Redmi 9i smartphone.

The report says that the smartphone will be available in two configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB and 4GB RAM + 128GB. The Redmi 9i 4GB RAM + 64GB India price will be INR 7,999. The tipster further informed the publication that the Redmi 9i will be available in the same colour options as seen in the Redmi 9A smartphone. This means that it will be available in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green paint jobs.

The event page on the company’s website reveals some design aspects of the smartphone. It shows that the phone will come with a waterdrop notch. The device will be loaded with 4GB of RAM. The phone will offer good storage options, cameras, a long-lasting battery, and more. Interestingly, the event page also notes that the Redmi 9i will be equipped with MIUI 12.

Meanwhile, a report by Pricebaba reveals that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 processor. The phone will come with 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a notch. The display might feature an HD+ resolution with 1600 x 720 pixel resolution. One could also expect it to feature the same camera modules as seen on the Redmi 9A.
