Under the hood, the entry-level Redmi smartphone features a MediaTek Helio A22 processor and an IMG PowerVR GPU. It comes paired with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
The Redmi A1 offers a dual-rear camera setup that includes an 8MP primary shooter, an AI camera, and an LED flash. The smartphone features a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
